Standard AS1289.5.5
Relative density relates the dry density of cohesionless soil to the maximum and minimum densities. The degree of compaction of cohesionless soil can be stated in terms of relative density.
The AS1289.5.5 Standard is similar to ASTM and EN with different size moulds, specify that it is used for the determination of the relative density of cohesionless soil for which impact compaction will not produce a well-defined moisture-density relationship curve and where the maximum density of impact method will generally be less than by vibratory method.
The three versions: 101-A0190, the other two conform to Conforming to AS1289, EN 13286-5, ASTM D4253, ASTM D4254, to be ordered separately
