This apparatus is used for determining the reactivity on slaking of ground quicklime.
The standard lime reactivity test measures quicklime quality by assessing its hydration rate. You mix 150g of lime with 600g of water in an insulated container, and measure the time it takes for the exothermic slaking reaction to raise the water tempera-ture by 40°C (usually to 60°C).
The equipment consists of a Dewar vessel 1000 ml capacity complete with cover, electric stirrer 300 rpm EN Spec 400 AS4489 Spec. complete with stirring paddle (propeller), base with stand, digital thermometer range -50 +200 °C subd. 0.1 °C, acces-sories.
