New model
– use weight of motor and gear box as the dead weight so we are able to reduce the total weight of the instrument
– we used VFD to reduce the rpm to 180
Old model
– has extra weight set, to meet the dead weight requirement of 85 kg.
– uses two gears to meet requirement of 180 rpm

The apparatus is suitable for compliance testing to the requirements of BS 8204: 1987: Part 2 and EN 13892-4.
The abrasion tester consists of three 75 mm diameter hardened steel wheels mounted tangentially on a circular steel carrier plate.
Control box, which monitors the number of revolutions executed by the shaft of the motor and controls RPM
At the end of a preset number of revolutions, a counter in the control box switches off the device.
The rotating members of Abrasion Tester are completely covered by a see through covers which act as a Safety Enclosure.
